Course Overview

The Advanced Worksite Traffic Management – Non-Practitioner Renewal (AWTM-NP Renewal) course is for professionals. For those who have a Non-Practitioner level traffic management accreditation with Main Roads WA.

This one-day course lets you renew your accreditation. You will also learn the latest requirements. It helps refresh your knowledge of advanced traffic management procedures and documents.

In March 2025, Main Roads WA introduced this accreditation level in the updated edition of the Traffic Management for Works on Roads Code of Practice. It recognises the critical role played by professionals who review traffic management plansmonitor their implementation, or conduct on-site surveillance, without being directly involved in the physical setup or supervision of traffic control.

This re-accreditation course aligns with the AGTTM Accreditation TMD-NP outlined in Part 8 of the Austroads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management. It ensures that you maintain compliance with WA’s current standards while continuing to support safe and effective traffic management outcomes.

Who Should Attend

This AWTM Non-Practitioner Renewal course is ideal for individuals whose work involves evaluating, monitoring, or auditing traffic management schemes rather than directly implementing them. It is particularly suitable for:

Accreditation & Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive:

  • Main Roads WA AWTM-NP (Non-Practitioner) Certificate
  • An updated MRWA AWTM-NP photo ID card, valid for 3 years

Certificates are typically issued within three business days for participants in the Perth metro area. For regional participants, please allow extra time for delivery.

Please note: This course is not nationally accredited. It is a Main Roads WA-approved renewal course that meets the specific requirements of the AWTM-NP level of traffic management.
